'La Truffe' - Languedoc gite

A charming holiday cottage for 2 people

'La Truffe' is situated in the heart of the countryside, 4Km North of UZES, in The Gard, between the picturesque villages of St Quentin la Poterie and Montaren et St Mediers.   “La Truffe” is a well appointed Maison d'Amis, set in the lovely tranquil garden of Olive trees and Truffe Oaks of the owner’s residence. It is entirely self-contained, spacious with high ceilings and comfortably furnished. The whole property is walled/ fenced and has electronic gates.

The pool is magnificent (16 x 6metres) with Roman steps at one end and a seating ledge at the deep end for enjoying a glass of wine whilst paddling! The pool is shared with the owners, though you will, in reality, have virtual private use. Loungers, cushions and umbrellas are provided and the pool house is equipped with a fridge.

If you just want to sit; relax and savour a slower pace of life, there is the superb pool with plenty of space and privacy to stretch out, to read and listen to the golden orioles and a host of other birds and the cicadas.

On the other hand if you seek History, Culture, Music or more strenuous exercise, then La Truffe is the ideal holiday home from which to find it.

In Springtime, when the weather is pleasant and the hedgerows and trees are alive with wild flowers and blossom. 

In Summertime you can enjoy guaranteed sunshine, the region’s major festivals and outstanding Mediterranean produce.

Autumn and winter each have their attractions and the local towns and villages remain ‘Open and active’ unlike some parts of France.

Wine lovers are spoilt for choice with literally hundreds of caves and vineyards to visit in the area, which includes those of Languedoc/Roussillon and Côtes du Rhône.

Provence is also close by with its lavender scented hills and vivid landscapes.

All of this, combined with the charm of La Truffe, makes for an idyllic Languedoc gite break away.
